Creating High Quality Spa and Garden Accessories

I
As beautiful and durable redwood is, some
consumers prefer low maintenance
accessories. In response we have developed
the hybrid line. 95% of the products and
surrounds made from redwood can now be
purchased in this new offering. It’s called
hybrid because we use High Density
Poly Ethylene for exposed and
ground contact surfaces and pre finished
redwood for structural areas. Our furniture
grade high-density polyethylene (HDPE) is
made from 100% recycled milk jugs. It has a
wood grain texture for traction, is solid
color throughout (scratches won’t show) and
has a 5-year warranty. The combination gives
us strength, rigidity, relatively
lightweight and a very competitive price.
We currently inventory HDPE in coastal gray,
red, beige, mahogany, dark gray and
espresso.

Hybrid Colors (from left): Red, Mahogany,
Beige (Solana), Coastal Gray, Espresso,
Teak, Driftwood.
Why Redwood?
When purchasing products from A&B Accessories, you are making the environmentally correct choice. A&B is proud to be using timber, America's greatest renewable resource! We have chosen redwood for the same reasons homeowners choose them for their decks and siding. It ranks the highest in dimensional stability among commercially harvested woods, which means they split less, warp less, twist less and shrink less. Redwood also holds paint better, and is virtually free of sticky pitch pockets and resins. Redwood is also naturally decay resistant, which means they do not have to be treated with possibly toxic chemicals to last for years outdoors. Redwood is unsurpassed in its natural beauty, is environmentally friendly and contains no petroleum-based products. It stays cool to the touch in the summer heat, provide excellent footing when wet and has centuries of proven performance in outdoor conditions.
A&B Accessories has mandated to our suppliers to adhere to one of two major forest initiatives. The Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) calls for third party inspections of forestlands for sustain-ability and habitat use. Certification has been set up to certify mills to produce "Certified Lumber." Certified means timber has been approved to be harvested under an agreement reached in cooperation with scientists, environmental groups and foresters so as not to harm watersheds around streams, wildlife, soil erosion, and to ensure no one area is over-harvested.
Our mills will be providing us with a plentiful supply of timber on into perpetuity. We at A&B Accessories are proud to be "green", using America's greatest renewable resource! You should be too!
